Dalat is the capital of Lam Dong province. With an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level, Dalat is cool and is an ideal retreat in the Central Highlands region. Once famous for attractions such as Love Valley, Than Tho Lake, Doi Thong Hai Mo, Thac Voi …, Da Lat today no longer retains the pristine looks of the past. Current major attractions when traveling to Da Lat include Ho Xuan Huong, Dinh Langbiang, Bao Dai Palace, Biet Dien Tran Le Xuan, Truc Lam Monastery, Tuyen Lam Lake and Da Lat Station (Trai Mat Station) . Only 300km away from Saigon, Da Lat city is a wonderful retreat, helping visitors escape the hot sultry of the Southern Delta.

Due to the height and pine forest surrounding it, Da Lat  features a subtropical highland climate which has a mild climate that is cool all year round.

  1. Lam Vien Square

Lam Vien Square  is located in the heart of this beautiful city with a total area of ​​72,000 m². Not only outstanding with a large, airy space, Lam Vien Square is also impressed with its huge artistic works of 2 blocks of wild sunflower and artichoke flower designed with fancy stained glass.

The wild sunflower block has a height of up to 18m2 and a total area of ​​1,200m2. The block of artichoke flower buds is considered as a feature and a specialty here. This artichoke outside is equipped with glass surfaces with green and yellow colors. This artichoke has a height of up to 15m2 and an area of ​​about 1,500m2.

2. Langbian Mountain

This place is known as one of the highest rooftops in Dalat.

Located in Lac Duong district, 12 km north of Dalat city center and 2,000 m higher than sea level, Langbiang is considered the second highest mountain in the national park mountain system. Bidoup – Nui Ba nation. From the top of Langbiang Mountain, visitors can meet the eye to watch almost the whole dreaming Dalat, freely admire the beauty of Suoi Vang, Suoi Bac and the panoramic view of Da Lat tourism. Standing in this position, you feel like you are lost in a fairytale place, thinking that you are traveling in the sky when you enjoy the beauty of the blurry nature picture with the mist flying in front of you.

  1. Buy strawberry from Dalat

GETTING THERE

Air

You can fly straight to Lien Khuong Airport – Da Lat from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or Danang by Vietnam Airlines or Vietjet Air. The flight ticket prices cost approximately VND800,000 to VND2,000,000. 

Bus

Dalat is about 300 kilometers away from Saigon center, so you can go by car, with a fare of VND200,000 / regular ticket / trip and VND 240,000 / bed / trip ticket. You should go to Dalat by car from Phuong Trang or Thanh Buoi.

In addition, you can also go to Dalat by Open bus of the firms Phuong Trang, Kim Travel, Hanh Cafe, Sinh Tourist, … with fares ranging from VND110,000 to 130,000. Or you can go to Da Lat with your personal means, but remember to bring enough papers and go at the right speed, if you don’t want to pay a fine and keep the papers.

GETTING AROUND 

– Motorbike or bicycle: You can rent a motorbike or bicycle to visit around Da Lat city. The average rent is from 80-120,000 / day. You can ask to rent at your hotel or motel.

– Taxi: Just like other tourist destinations, if you have a good economy, you can take a taxi. Both convenient and safe but the price is quite high. When taking a taxi, you should choose reputable firms and have timers.

– Bus: Public transport is also a good suggestion for you. The routes start from the city center to the tourist destinations and communes in Da Lat. And the fare is calculated according to the route you take, from VND4,000 to 30,000.
